Turquoise Thursday: Handbags

I've feel like I've been in malls this spring way more than normal. And while I am still searching for the perfect wedges I have found more than one perfect handbag. However, I have been yet to pull the trigger on making a purchase. When there are this many choices how can you be sure you pick the right one!

Turquoise Thursday: Handbags

(click on any of the bags above to find out where you can purchase)

A couple thoughts about each bag in case you are needing some directions for yourself.

1. I love this Dooney and Burke bag. I actually received a black and brown version of this bag for my birthday last year, and it is the perfect size and very durable - ie. it travels well from the office to wedding to the barn for cattle shows.

2. I have always love Kate Spade, but don't own any pieces. They always have so many fun bright colors and styles. Kate Spade has lots more turquoise handbags to choose from.

3. Quite a few years bag I received this Michael Kors turquoise bag in bag. Again another bag that I love and it did great accompanying me along my "rockin' rural lifestyle."

4. I always adore Brahmin bags. They are simply beautiful! For my wedding I carried a royal blue Brahmin clutch for my "something blue."

5. This is brand called Kate Landry that is REALLY reasonable. So far I have only seen it at Dillards. I have an fun wristlet wallet that I love to use on work trips. I can move it quickly from purse to my laptop.

6. I was really surprised that Cole Hahn had a turquoise handbag and thought this was a fun option.

Now I want to hear from you! Which bag would you pick?

A week of Instagram: Blonde Hair, Baby Calves and Great Shoes

I can feel the calm before the storm. Except is isn't really that calm. So maybe I am in the hail storm before the tornado hits? We are breeding cows, the boy is planting corn when the fields are dry enough, lots of work projects going and we are headed to the Kentucky Derby next weekend! Now that part is really exciting. So what else happened this week?
It was time for a hair cut. So three inches came off this week. Also, I got my hair colored! My hair is really blonde, however this winter I noticed it has gotten a little darker. So we put some low lights in it and now it has give me a "jump" on my summer blonde, and I love it!
From this picture you would think we have had a beautiful week on the farm. In reality it has been cold! Like below freezing at night, windy and rainy cold. The tractors have come to a standstill and planting won't start again until it dries up. Our cows are liking the moisture though because that means more grass for them.

We are in a combination of calving and breeding cows. This little guy was born the night before this picture and he was very curious about my Steve Madden wedges. Who says farm girls can't wear heels. Earlier in the day these wedges toured two warehouses full of livestock feed and supplements.

I hope you've had a great week too! If you missed out on the Beauty Swap Link Up make sure you check it out. Lots of reviews on all kind of products, and there is still time to link up if you were a swapper.

Birthday Beauty Swap Recap

It's time to recap! I hope all of you had a great time swapping beauty boxes with your partners. I got super lucky to swap with Taysha of Dirt Road Charm. Taysha and I got to meet in person a couple year ago at that National Western Stock Show and she is also a fellow MAC make-up lovers. However, she hadn't tried one of my favorite MAC products before (the MAC Paint Pot) and I hadn't tried a few of hers. A match made in heaven. Also, as I was opening the box the Boy was standing over my shoulder exclaiming I love this girl because of the abundance of Easter candy included!

1. It Cosmetics Sculpting Brush - this is the third "It" brush that I now own and love them. They are incredibly soft, a great price point and clean really well. I've been trying to get a little better at sculpting and this brush is great for under the cheeks and my jaw line.

2. Deep Down Detox - I laughed a little when I saw Taysha had sent this. I actually got this mask in my very first beauty swap over a year ago, and I love it. I try to use it once a week. It always leaves my skin feeling refreshed, tightened and brighter. Plus at $5.99 you can't go wrong!

3. MAC Lipstick in Speed Dial - I love this pink color, not too bubble gummy, but still a bright pink. It doesn't have the staying power that my MAC Pro Long Cremewear does so I have been applying NYX lip liner in Rose. It has more sheen to it than a lot of my other lipsticks, which it great because the lipstick doesn't dry out my lips like others.

4. MAC Penultimate Eye Liner and MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash - I have started to wear more liquid eyeliner and this probably one of the easiest ones that I have applied. I also have almost white eyelashes and they aren't super long. It is really hard for me to find a mascara that I like, but this one is impressing me so far. It has a really "wet" formula so I have to made sure I don't blink before it dries, but it covers every lash and there is absolutely one clumping! I find sometime I need to go back over my eyeliner later in the day with the eye liner to keep that really rich black look.

5. CeraVe Suncreen - I had told Taysha that I was starting to get ready for summer and sunscreen was a must. Turning 30 made me realize that now is the time to really buckle down and take care of my skin. Being so fair skinned I have always been pretty good about wearing sunscreen, but I know I can be better. I am looking forward to trying out this brand - especially during our family reunion at the lake.

A few of you have already been asking about future swaps. Be sure to follow the Crystal Cattle Facebook page or my blog for details about the new swap. I was a little bummed out that we had a very participants leave their partners high and dry this time. I've been brainstorming on how to get around this and really not sure if there is a way. It takes a lot of time to partner everyone up, but I love seeing everyone's tweets, Instagram photos and blog posts!

Now its is time to hear from all the other ladies that participated in the Beauty Swap. If your were a swapper post you link below and be sure to check out everyone else's favorite new beauty products. If you don't have a blog leave a comment below about your swap!
